Board Guide

Twins

The livewire (wakestyle), Apex (premium freeride) and Switch (freeride) all have updated graphics for 2016. The Livewire and Apex are available in a carbon team version, and all of these boards have the new AFT bindings, which are a lot better for bigger booted feet for this year. The Livewire has a new larger size this year - a 142x43, which brings the range more in line with the growing appetite for many heavier boot riders. The Vox has an all new stepped rail construction and a new larger size in 144x44 which makes for a much better board choice for heavier riders getting into the sport. There is an all new brinding system for the VOX this year which is very functional and easy to set up. It’s really helping us keep these entry level products on budget, but not scrimping on design or quality in any way.

Compact - surf directional
The compact has been one of our best selling surfboards of the last few years. With the advent of strapless riding the compact makes for a super smooth and easy to live with ride that really gels with so many riders in less than perfect conditions. It’s so smooth and easy, perfect for those who are strapless riding at levels that require compliance and trust more so than aggressive madness, and the compact makes rough days fun. It’s a traditional shape, smooth through the turns, predictable and versatile in a lot of different situations - the allround classic of the range.
Produced in 3 constructions for 2016;
Flytech (core series / blue) - really light and strong
Flex carbon (reefer series / red) - extravagently light and a bit more flexible
Active Carbon - (team series / green) -The highest technology construction in the industry - super light and flexible.

Converse surf
The Converse has a new larger size for 2016 and continues as the highest tail rocker board of the range, offset with a decent amount of tail area, giving you quite a bit of versatility to the board for less than perfect days. It’s all about bigger waves, higher speeds and more aggressive riding, yet in reality it's an easy board to live with and anyone of any ability who likes to hit bigger, smoother bits of water quickly finds themselves polarising to the Converse.
Produced in 2 constructions for 2016 (at the moment);
Flex carbon (reefer series / red) - extravagently light and a bit more flexible
Active Carbon - (team series / green) - The highest technology construction in the industry - super light and flexible.

Cypher - close surf - new shape - new construction -

This is an all new board for 2016..
Falling inline with the 'vangaurd esque’ shaping fad of the moment, the all new cypher is shorter (to be ridden 2” shorter size for size compared to last years board) is getting a lot of positive reviews. Traditionally a snappier board for smaller days in capable hands it always had a high level of practicality (wind range and upwind), though being a bit nervous, it was never out of control, but through all of this it was electric around tighter snappier corners. It’s the experts choice for close quarter combat…
Produced in 3 constructions for 2016;
Flytech (core series / blue) - really light and strong
Flex carbon (reefer series / red) - extravagently light and a bit more flexible
Active Carbon - (team series / green) - stupidly expensive and the highest technology construction in the industry - super light and flexible.
